"NO-GI" is a unique construction of the PANE shoe model. The original meaning of "GI" comes from the Judo uniform, while "NO-GI" represents the form of Judo performed without constraints, focusing more on direct physical contact and expression.

The "NO-GI" structure is deeply inspired by the concept of "no uniform," adopting a deconstructive aesthetic perspective. It eliminates traditional linings, similar to shedding the Judo uniform, reshaping the natural connection between leather and feet.

DESIGN & CRAFT

Premium Materiality: Crafted entirely from top grain leather to deliver an elegant, delicate texture. By omitting a traditional lining in key areas, the design showcases the raw, authentic feel of the leather. The supple hide wraps the foot comfortably, providing a balance of flexibility and reassuring structural support.

Enhanced Breathability: Integrated with a Cambrelle lining to optimize airflow and moisture management.

Underfoot Engineering: Featuring leather-faced insoles with a dual-layer cushioning system of 5mm Ortholite and 5mm Latex for enhanced stability and daily comfort. A cork midsole paired with a lightweight rubber outsole ensures a responsive, agile step.

Refined Silhouette: A slender profile with a contoured arch creates a sophisticated and elegant streamline. Each pair includes two sets of laces for versatile styling.

New Shoes Causing Friction

PANE casual shoes are made according to standard sizing, ensuring both elegance in shape and comfort in fit. They are crafted from softer cowhide leather. However, due to differences in foot shape and bone structure, discomfort may still occur. We recommend using shoe stretchers to adjust and wearing thin socks to help with adaptation. Since genuine leather softens gradually during wear, the sole will also mold itself better to your walking pattern over time.

Daily Care

• Avoid wearing the same pair continuously for too long. We recommend alternating every two days. Prolonged wearing time can cause deformation due to sweat and moisture, and even overnight airing may not dry them completely. Therefore, we advise rotating 2–3 pairs regularly. This not only helps maintain the best shoe shape but also extends their lifespan.
  
• On rainy or snowy days, if shoes get wet, dry them promptly. Wipe the surface, stuff newspaper inside to absorb moisture, and let them air-dry in a ventilated place. Avoid direct sunlight or baking by fire to prevent the leather from becoming brittle and cracked.
  

Using a shoe stretcher helps the shoes retain their shape and allows the leather to stay smooth and dry more easily.
